HomeSkillet Records is a tiny Sitka, Alaska based record label and side-project of our fearless leader, George Huff. When it came around to designing the latest iteration of the site, he worked with our creative whirlwind, Todd Quackenbush, to design the new HomeSkillet Records identity. The rest of the website design stems from the initial creative direction of that identity.
We decided to focus on twelve artists at any given time to keep the focus on those who are most active in recording and putting on shows. We are leveraging third-party video/image services where possible to keep a steady stream of content on the site.
HomeSkillet Records also puts on a music festival every year called HomeSkillet Fest; they use the site to sell tickets and tell the story of the festival each year.
